CloudWatcher

Tauri-based CloudWatch log viewer for desktop

CloudWatcher is a lightweight desktop app for exploring AWS CloudWatch Logs in real time. It is built to speed up debugging in distributed systems with a focused interface for quick jumps between log groups and recent events.

Problem

The CloudWatch console can be slow and click-heavy during live troubleshooting. Engineers need faster switching between groups and streams, quick scans of recent events, and easier error spotting across services.

Browse and select CloudWatch log groups
View recent events for selected groups and streams
Two-pane layout optimized for fast navigation
Local credential configuration with no hardcoded keys
Native desktop performance via Tauri

Architecture

Desktop App (Tauri) → React + TypeScript UI (Material UI) → AWS SDK + CloudWatch Logs API

TauriReactTypeScriptMaterial UIAWS SDKCloudWatch Logs API

Built to create a faster day-to-day debugging workflow than the AWS console and reduce friction when investigating incidents across multiple services.
